An old industrial city, Wuxi was originally a mining town. It subsequently became an arts and cultural center. It also well known for its freshwater pearl industry. This is the personal trip to China on 25th Dec 2007

Spot#1（焦点一）: Romance of Three Kingdom Movie City（无锡三国影视城）
It is one of the China's national-level 5A scenic spots. This is where the 84-episode TV series "Romance of Three Kingdoms" had been shooted by the China Central Television.
（它是中国国家5A级景区之一，是中央电视台为拍摄八十四集电视连续剧《三国演义》而兴建的大型影视文化景区，“刘备招亲”、“火烧赤壁”、“横槊赋诗”、“草船借箭”、“借东风”、“诸葛吊孝”、“舌战群儒”等十多集的重场戏均在此拍摄。）

相传这是有中国商人圣祖之称的范蠡在帮助越王勾践成功之后，与西施归隐的地方。





Spot#4（焦点四）: Wuxi Ling Shan（无锡灵山）
It is the AAAA-level scenic spot in Wuxi. The 88 metres Grand Buddha is one of the largest Buddha statues in China, and it is the ninth tallest statue worldwide.
（灵山即“灵山胜境”位于中国优秀旅游城市无锡马山的太湖之滨，是中国全国十二家国家级旅游度假区之一的无锡太湖旅游度假区的龙头项目，也是中国首批AAAA级景区。那里有座闻名世界八十八米高的露天青铜释迦牟尼佛立像--灵山大佛）

As part of work appreciations in 2007, company had decided sponsored my girl friend and me a free holidays in China during Christmas period (from 23rd till 29th December 2007).

Since that was my first trip to China, so we have signed up a 7 days trip package via L T Travel & Tours (M) Sdn Bhd, and then we have visited Suzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuzhen, and finally Shanghai. As part of the package, it was started with arrival to Shanghai Pudong International Airport at night via China Eastern Airlines. Then proceed to Suzhou by travel bus on the next day early morning.（由于这是我第一次到中国，所以通过“乐天假期”（马）私人有限公司，我们选择了“江南七日游”。过后我们参观了苏州，无锡，南京，杭州，乌镇，最后是上海。旅程起点是先乘搭中国东方航空公司客机抵达上海浦东国际机场，然后在第二天早上乘搭旅游巴士到苏州）

Suzhou--The city is renowned for its beautiful stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens, which has become a great tourist attraction. Suzhou has also been an important centre for China's silk industry and continues to hold that prominent position today.
（苏州 - 素来以山水秀丽、园林典雅而闻名天下，有“江南园林甲天下，苏州园林甲江南”的美称，又因其小桥流水人家的水乡古城特色，而有“东方威尼斯”、“东方水都（东方水城）”之称。它已成为一个伟大的旅游景点。苏州是丝绸的故乡，也一直是中国的丝绸业的重要中心。）

Spot#1（焦点一）: Hanshan Temple（寒山寺）
It is the AAAA-level scenic spot in Suzhou, built in the Six Dynasties period (AD 502-519). Hanshan Temple was historically one of China's top ten famous monasteries.
（它是苏州AAAA级景区之一，建于六朝时期的梁代天监年间（公元502-519年），距今已有1400多年。唐代贞观年间，改名为寒山寺。历史上寒山寺曾是中国十大名寺之一）






Spot#2（焦点二）: Suzhou Historic District（苏州历史街区）
Historical buildings, large number of bridges and the water alleys
（这里水港小桥特别多，所以是”苏州的河道和街坊往往比邻并行，“门前石街人履步，屋后河中舟楫行”。我们也有机会感受到什么是“苏州过后无艇搭”哈哈！）






Spot#3（焦点三）: night scene（夜景）
Note: Guan Qian Street（到苏州不可不去观前街，灵星门和玄妙观三清殿（南宋）。但我们到达那里时，玄妙观已闭门了）

Spot#4（焦点四）: Suzhou “Coupled” Park（苏州耦园）
In the December 25th morning, we went to visit Suzhou “Coupled” Park, which it was listed by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage in November 2000. The park was built in early Qing Dynasty.
（在12月25日早上，我们去参观了在2000年11月被联合国教科文组织列入世界文化遗产名录的“苏州耦园”。耦园，始建于清初，寓有夫妇归田隐居之意）








Spot#5（焦点五）: Suzhou Silk（苏州丝绸）
Finally, we visited the Suzhou Silk production process and the Silk Fashion Show.（最后，我们参观了苏州丝绸制作过程与丝绸时装表演秀）
